The British
Second Wives Club has discovered a considerable number of ex-wives
are consumed with spite.

and his new partner/wife. One of the most popular lies being ‘they
had an affair and that woman broke up our happy marriage’. Fact –
her ex-husband didn’t have an affair, they spilt up and he moved on
with his life.
Ex-wife
tries to get her ex-husband’s family to side with her claiming she
has done nothing wrong in an attempt to make his family favour her
and take pity on her.
Ex-wife
never questioned ex-husband's ability to be a good father and to
care for their children by himself, until they were divorced. Then,
according to her, he becomes totally unreliable and can't be trusted
with the children unless she gives him a complete list of dos and
don'ts.
Child related
spite – also known as Parental Alienation
Block
and/or control all telephone contact between the child/ren and
their Father
Destroy
all old photos of her ex-husband or cut him out of the photos, let
the children see what she’s done
Don't
allow your children to have a photo of their father in their
bedroom
Tell the
children what you think of their Father and encourage them to
share the same negative views
Imply they
won't have a good time with their Father
Imply
they could be hurt or at risk when they are with their Father
Offer the
children gifts as rewards if they say they don't want to see their
Father
Mislead
the children's school about the suitability of their Father and
imply he is a troublemaker
Tell
children their Father doesn't love them anymore as he has a new
life and new partner/wife
Tell the
children their father left them as well as her
Make the
children aware of adult discussions about Divorce, Courts and
Money
The
Ex-wife transfers her obsessions about their Father, money and his
life onto the children
Openly
slander their Father so the children can hear
Make the
children call their Father by his first name or force the children
to call their father 'it'
Insist the
children call her new boyfriend ‘Dad’
Bully the
children into keeping quiet about their home and school life
Make the
children aware of how much Child Maintenance their Father pays
Exclude
the father from making any decisions about the children's life and
Education
Tell the
children they have to miss out on activities because their Father
isn't paying for them
Creating
false memories for the children, a very common theme is ‘their
father was bad to them’
The mother
burdens the children so much she makes the children feel
responsible for her
The
ex-wife makes the eldest son feel he is responsible for her and
that he is ‘man of the household’
Grill the
children about their time spent in their Father's company - who
did they see, what did they eat, what did they do etc.
Donating
children's toys given to them by their Father to the charity shop
or destroy them
Lie to the
children about events when their Father doesn't turn up - say he
has a new busy life that doesn't include them
All cards
and letters from their Father are hidden from the children
Reward the
children if they make detrimental comments about their Father
Tell the
children ‘we are poor because your father doesn't pay enough’ and
‘he stole all our money’
Constantly
intrude with phone calls to the children when they are with their
Father
Make the
children needless worry about their 'poor' mother while they are
spending time with their Father
Allowing
young children to pick and choose when they want to see their
Father
Tell the
children 'if it wasn't for Dad’s new wife/partner you'd have lots
of holidays, toys and new clothes...'
Tell the
children their father bullies her in court
Make the
children believe their Father is harassing them if he tries to
contact them
Tell the
children she is lonely and misses them when they see their Father
Lie and
tell the children they have no living relatives and that she is
their only living relative
Makes the
children say horrible thing to their Father's new wife/partner
